What a event it will be, with a 20% increase in entrants we have not just managed for the third consecutive time to hit the 100 Mark but smash it. The final entry list contains 118 drivers and 108 cars. ranging from pre war to the tail end of 73. We are already hard at work getting the track in shape for the coming racing, so If you have not done so already check out the final entry list, and paddock layout in the downloads.
Please check back before the event for any last minute changes to the paddock layout.
As you can imagine, setting up an event like the Bo’ness hill climb takes a lot of time and resources. The Thursday and Friday just before the event are crazy busy, getting signs in place, setting up the paddock and erecting the commentators huts [yep we have to do that as well] there is a fair amount of setting up Gazebos and fences as well. If you are free on either of these days and would like to offer your time, then please drop me an e-mail and I can add you to the list of able bodies. email@example.com
Since the entries went live on the 3rd of May we have be bombarded with new and returning drivers to compete in this years Bo’ness Hill Climb as of the 21st of May we are now up to 65 entries, this beats last years fantastic response, one we thought would never been beaten. If you are a returning driver then you will be aware the paddock is a fixed size and we are limited to 110 entries.
Spaces are disappearing fast so get your skates on and get your entry in. A list of the current entries is: here
Applications can be made either by our online form or ‘old school’ via post. The supplementary reg’s and paper application can be found in our downloads section
We prefer all entries to be electronic so in case you want to pay by cheque we have added this option along with paypal, which can be chosen at checkout.
Online payments are taken via PayPal, or standard Visa/ Visa Debit/ Master Card
For online entries only we are offering one of the New 2017 T-shirts at a discounted rate of £10, simply select the option at the end of your entry application, and the item will be added to your total.
We are pleased to announce our new T-shirt design for the 2017 Season. The Bo’ness Hill Climb has now been in existence in its current form for 10 years and we decided a make over was well overdue. To incorporate the growing and successful Classic car show in the name we decided to change the brand and bring the hill climb and car show under one name.
As such we are very pleased with the new Bo’ness Revival logo and as such thought this year it should take pride of place on our T-shirts. We have expanded the range of sizes to include female and kids and placed it pride of place on a Black, Red and light Blue Cotton T-shirt. We hope you like it as much as we do.
We know some of you are keen to get your entry in for the Bo’ness Revival, however until the Track licence and permit is sent to us from the MSA, we are unable able to take entries,
As soon as these arrived we are good to go and entries will be made live.
While you are waiting for that, you may want to bag yourself a ticket for the BBQ which we will be organizing for the Saturday night. This is open to Hill Climb Drivers, crew and entrants to the classic car show. Numbers are limited to the size of the Gazebo [about 100] so they are being sold on a first come first served bases.
There will be good food,[ including a Hog roast], music and plenty of racing chat. All this for a very reasonable £10
Details regarding times etc will follow, but we expect to kick it off after the prize giving.
We are delighted to support Alan Biggar in his latest fund raising venture for the Teenage Cancer Trust. Alan will be driving his 1957 Morgan Plus 4 all round Scotland in an epic road trip of around 2000 miles and incorporates no less than twelve ferry crossings.
Alan’s twelve day journey will start at Bridge of Allan and will finish at Bo’ness Hill Climb on the 26th May.
You can read about Alan’s trip by downloading the flyer which includes details for charity donations.
I have been contacted by Felix Sears, a Bo’ness member who has shared a painting that was recently done of him in his Speedex coming up the Bo’ness track last year. The painting was created from a photo taken on the day and I think has turned out very well. The Artist’s name is Andrew Kitson ( andrewkitson.com ) who specializes in Motor racing painting.
