THE FIRST TRUE MOTOR RACING VENUE IN SCOTLAND
We are pleased to announce that James Stronach has joined the BHCR committee.
James took over as Chief Marshal from his twin brother Andy for the 2011 Bo'ness Revival and the duo will be well known to many of our members as they have been stalwarts of the Scottish Motorsports Marshals Club since the mid 1970's. This was around the time of the new SMMC Leyland Sherpa rescue unit in the days when 'fully equipped' meant a crowbar and a fire extinguisher!
James was a member of the very first SMMC Rescue Team to officiate at the British Grand Prix (Brands Hatch) and has marshalled on all the major rallies including the Scottish and the RAC and was Chief Marshall at Doune for many years where he also manned the Rescue Unit.
He is on first name terms with such luminaries as Ari Vatanen and even Ari Simpson!
Despite nearly 40 years of marshalling James' enthusiasm continues unabated and his experience coupled with his attention to detail make him a valuable addition to the BHCR team.

TEAM BO'NESS heads for the Isle of Man!!
A 3 car team of BHCR members are off to the Isle of Man on April 25th to compete in the Manx Classic.
The Manx Classic, organised by The Manx Motor Racing Club is, an annual three-day event: one sprint, two hillclimbs, three days of great Manx motorsport on closed public roads in the Isle of Man. Full details at http://www.manxmotorracing.com
The team consists of Kenny Allen - Lotus Elan, Hugh MacKinnon - Porsche 911 and Tom MacMillan - Westfield Megabusa. They will be competing for their individual classes plus the Team prize. This is seen as a good opportunity to market Bo'ness Hill Climb Revival since the Manx caters for the same type of cars we want to attract to Bo'ness. They are certainly a 'mature' team and we wish them well!
