FEEDBACK

This is only a selection of the feedback we have received for the Revival Meeting. Many people also took the trouble to offer suggestions for improving the event for next year. All suggestions will be considered by the committee. Our sincere thanks to everybody who E-mailed us. Feedback like this makes us even more determined to make next year both bigger and better!

Just a short note, on behalf of the club members who attended the hill climb today, to say how much we enjoyed the event.  You certainly put in a lot of work and had a great turn out despite the awful weather.
Many thanks for all your efforts; we all appreciated them very much.

Just a note on behalf of myself & TIPEC to thank you for the invite to the Bo'ness hill climb. We had an excellent day and thoroughly enjoyed the event and the company of other entrants.

I just want to say briefly how much I enjoyed the weekend, despite the weather & my engine maladies on Saturday.
I spoke to several spectators -- the ma, pa & the weans types -- who all were positive.

Just a note to congratulate you and the rest of your team on the weekend's events.  It was so professional and efficient and above all enjoyable despite the Monsoon.
Many of us appreciate just how much work goes on behind the scenes to make things go this well.

Can you pass on my thanks to the BHCR committee for a very enjoyable hillclimb (my first timed hillclimb since the Isle of Man in 2003) - they did a fantastic job.

Congratulations on a highly successful re-opening of the Bo'ness Hill Climb.
I hadn't been to the hillclimb before so it was a pleasure to see the track and to be able to get very close to the cars at the farmyard.
The Club did an outstanding job in making it happen and attracting a good range of cars.  The weather was unfortunate but it didn't seem to deter the enthusiasm.

On behalf of myself and my friends we would just like to thank everyone involved for the vision to form a motor club and run such a fantastic event.as you all have done at Boness with the revival of the "Boness Speed Hillclimb".
We met so many people and every person was so friendly and helpful from not only the high profile officials of the club but the right down to the marshals standing in the pouring rain doing absolutely vital jobs such as directing us to turn round in the housing estate after we missed the turning into the entrance of the event and another showing us where to park in a nearby lane as the rain was making the paddock so soft and muddy. We would  also like to thank  the scouts for their help, the council workers  doing various jobs such as putting out the refuse sacks etc and the security people to mention just a few  who were all getting soaked but were so cheery.
Particular mention must be made of the residents of the houses in the Kinneil Estate as they were so kind to allow the event to happen and one resident even offered to make tea and coffee for my support crew  who had travelled from places as far apart as Dundee and Carlisle just to be at this event. When the kind offer was declined one gentleman presented one friend with a miniature "Highland Park "whisky as a souvenir. That is real hospitality.
Falkirk Council deserve the highest praise possible for their vision and co-operation and because of this event, ourselves and lots of other competitors the length and breadth of the country are planning to come next year but not only to visit Boness Hillclimb but to visit other places such as the Falkirk Wheel and the many other attractions nearby we have now discovered the area has to offer.
Once again please pass on our thanks to everyone involved and we look forward to returning again next year.

For my money, a great weekend, refreshingly free of moans despite the difficulty caused by the weather, and a credit to all those involved.

Please pass on my thanks and appreciation to everyone involved for all the hard work and effort that clearly went into producing such a wonderful weekend.
There was a great atmosphere and spirit throughout the meeting, that even the weather couldn't dampen.
All the best for the future of the event.

Just a wee note to thank you and all your colleagues for making Saturday such a memorable day for Mum and Dad - neither could have believed that they would ever have gone up the Boness Hill climb again in a Bentley. You have given them some great memories and they have asked me to thank you all very much
Good luck for the continued success of the track and I look forward to hearing of the next event

Just a note to say a big thumbs up to all who helped make the weekend a fantastic event.  The weather was rotten but that didn't dampen the mood and it was a well run event.  The Marshalls and officials were understanding and excellent with the crowds and children.  The competitors were a happy bunch and took time to talk to the crowds and answer any questions if they could in between races and sorting there cars. So a fantastic event that hopefully will grow and grow.  I for one will be back next year to watch and enjoy the event and will tell all my friends.  So once again   THANKS for a great day.

Just wanted to say a massive well done and thanks to all involved in putting the revival meeting on. Myself and my partner and our friends were across on Sunday and thoroughly enjoyed it all. We walked the course, perused the paddock, ogled the displays and then marvelled and cheered at the hill climb itself. Brilliant. I hope you can extend the course as I believe is planned for next year as that will give the competitors even more to get their teeth into. Having hay bales for barriers in the courtyard was very 'period' and really added to the retro feel. Being able to see the clock and have excellent commentary and good loudspeakers was luxury too.
I hope it was a success and everyone was happy with how it went. We all loved it.

Really enjoyed both days, as did everyone else in our VIP family group and friends who came along.

Thanks to all involved, you have made at least one Bo'ness man very happy.

I fully appreciate the fantastic job that the team has done. I thought the event was superb given the atrocious weather on Saturday. Full marks to the team for actually getting the event finished on Sunday as both Paul & myself thought the worst when we arrived.
Once again thanks for a fantastic week-end and I hope to be back in 2009.

I'd like to offer my congratulations thanks to everyone at the BHCR, it must have taken great determination and no small effort to achieve what you did in such a short timescale, with limited funds.
My partner and I were at Kinneil on Saturday and Sunday, and both enjoyed the sights, sounds and smells of those wonderful cars. I now know what my father means when he talks about the spectacle he viewed as a young boy.
Please accept my most sincere thanks for all your efforts. I hope that the event continues for many years to come.

It was a great day out for us all and to hear, see and smell the sounds, sights, and smell of Castrol R at Bo'ness again - congratulations to you all for a great achievement
Good luck for the continued success of the track and I look forward to hearing of the next event.

I thoroughly enjoyed the day despite the weather and hope that this will become a regular event in future years. It could become the Scottish version of the Goodwood Festival with any luck.
