Sponsors & Trade Stands
Without the support of our sponsors the Bo'ness Hill Climb Revival would simply not be possible. In turn, we endeavour to offer our sponsors excellent value for money.
Sponsorship of the Bo'ness Hill Climb Revival is a unique opportunity for promotions, branding and hospitality. These include:
a) Title sponsor
b) Exhibition space
c) Class sponsor
d) Trackside banners
e) Programme advertising
We also want to increase our trade stands for the 2010 Revival Meeting and this will include stands for both cars and bikes.

TITLE SPONSOR ANNOUNCED FOR 2010!
The 2010 FFDR Bo'ness Hill Climb Revival
We are extremely pleased to welcome the Fife company of FFDR Limited as our title sponsor for 2010. www.ffdr.co.uk Founded by Fife business man Ronnie Klos in 1996, FFDR is the UK's leading fire and flood restoration and all-trades building contractor. 'Your One-Stop Shop' for Fire and Flood Damage Restoration they carry out a wide variety of building and restoration projects, both commercial and domestic. Ronnie also has a strong interest in motor sport having competed in circuit racing himself and FFDR sponsored Gordon Shedden in the 2009 British Touring Car Championship and continue to sponsor Gordon this year again.
2010 Event Format
The event format will change for 2010. The 2008 and 2009 Revival Meetings were double-headers - i.e. two events, one on each day. For 2010 we are introducing a two day hill climb with practice on the Saturday and Sunday morning with competition runs on Sunday afternoon. A straw poll of competitors showed a 4:1 preference for this new format. We will try to give competitors just as many runs and you will only have one drivers' briefing, one scrutineering and one signing on.
Our aim is always to make each Revival Meeting better than the year before. In 2010 we hope that we will have a maximum entry of 90 cars and 30 bikes. We also hope to have added attractions, shuttle buses, celebrity drives up the hill, classic car parades etc.
All of the above will take more and more time to get through each day and our concern was that the original double-header format would make the day too busy for everybody and get away from the relaxed atmosphere which is what we think Bo'ness should be all about. Hence the reason for the new format.
Hill to be extended for 2010!
We have been given the go ahead by the MSA to extend the top of the hill which means the finish line will be around the 90 degree right hander after the old finish. We are also considering re-introducing 'The Snake' where the old finish was. This means that the hill is approaching its original length and will now include another famous feature from the past.
Track length of the 2008 course is some 370 yards; the 2009 course is some 579 yards and the full course some 708 yards. We hope to use the full course for 2010.
The Baron is Back!
Baron David Reid of Straloch was a very welcome competitor at the 2009 Revival Meeting. This may well have had something to do with the fact that he had flown all the way from Australia to compete! Kenny Baird interviewed him live on BBC radio from the paddock on the Saturday morning. Well the good news is that The Baron is back and David will once again pilot the Squanderbug of Vernon Williamson.

Bikes to Compete at Bo'ness for the First Time in over 50 Years
Alan Hartley thrilled the crowds with his speedway bike. Alan is Finance Director of MacTaggart and Mickel Limited www.macmic.co.uk the Glasgow based house builders, who have given the BHCR enormous support from the very beginning. And of course Agnes and Gray Mickel were very successful hill climbers on the British Hill Climb Championship scene as well as being winners at Bo'ness.
Fund raising - Corporate Membership & Website Advertising
Our membership has been amazingly supportive from the very beginning and the committee of BHCR once again thanks everybody for their support. This has been in the form of sponsorship-donations-buying yards of track etc. For 2010 we have to try and raise more money than ever before for resurfacing and the track extension. There are still plenty Yards of Track available (see YARDS OF TRACK) and we will shortly be offering a Corporate Membership for companies who would like to be more involved with Bo'ness Hill Climb. Website advertising is also now available at £100 per advert per year. Please contact Tom MacMillan tom@bonesshillclimb.org.uk for more details.
BHCR Shop on Tour
The BHCR Stand and Shop, staffed by Membership Secretary Margaret MacMillan and Tom MacMillan, will be on tour this season. We will be increasing the range of BHCR merchandise once more and you will be able to join the club and stock up with the latest items. Last year the stand became a drop-in place for committee members, drivers old and new (mostly veteran it has to be said) so if you are a member come and meet the gang and introduce yourself and if you are not a member drop in so we can explain why you should be! You are assured of a real good blether.

Tom MacMillan can just be seen relieving multiple Scottish Hill Climb Champion Kenny Allen of his last fiver. Kenny bought so much club merchandise that he had to borrow money to buy petrol to get him home. Note the Bo'ness Bus and the Bo'ness 'B'.
